Rangers
This series consists of individual welded and power-coated frames with netted paracord that are assembled together into a large-scale modular installation to create a wall of leaning “bodies.” Suspended between the organic and the artificial, these works draw on plant morphologies to explore ideas of sexual growth, pollination and the perversity of natural forms. The genital orifices created by the netted paracord at once spill out and retract in space. These pieces recall strap-on harnesses, cock rings and other fetish ornamentals in order to infuse their seemingly organic forms with prosthetics of queer sexual practices.
